PAROXYSMAL

TORTICOLLIS

One of the early common, non-acute symptoms that has presented in a number of children with a TANGO2 mutation is benign paroxysmal torticollis (BPT). Other names for this may be neck tilt or head tilt.

BPT typically manifests as a head tilt to one side for a few hours or days. It may not be affected by sleep. Spells can last as little as 10 minutes or as long as 2 months.
