Things to Know for the Upcoming Family Conference

    By Ann Geffen | Uncategorized | 0 comment | 28 April, 2022 | 0

Here’s What You Need to Know About Our June Conference…

The registration deadline is May 15th for the 2nd TANGO2 Family Conference June 26-28, 2022, in Orlando, Florida! You won’t want to miss the two and a half-day event, hosted by the TANGO2 Research Foundation. Our conference is designed to bring together the TANGO2 disease community for insights, fellowship and discussion. For many families and children affected by TANGO2-related disorder, this conference will be one of the first opportunities to meet and engage with other affected families. Building these relationships is vital for combining efforts to advocate for research, treatment, and therapy for this rare disease.

Taking place at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, the conference will kick off Sunday, June 26th at 5 p.m. with a wonderful welcome reception for all in attendance. After the reception, retire to your complimentary resort room for some relaxation time, enjoy the pool with the family or explore the resort!

Monday and Tuesday will be full days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. featuring a fantastic line-up of speakers covering a wide range of topics that are sure to bring great value to all attendees. Be sure to check out our social media channels leading up to the event, as we share information on some of our conference speakers! (For a sneak peek at the full conference agenda, check the end of this blog!)

Each day will be jam packed with TANGO2 updates on research and important information for families. Included each day during the conference is breakfast, lunch and refreshments. The TANGO2 Research Foundation is incredibly thankful to have received a grant from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative–as part of its Rare As One cohort– which designates funds for the specific purpose of hosting a family conference. The CZI grant will cover a large portion of the costs to attend the conference, including hotel accommodations for two nights and five meals for two days. The TANGO2 Research Foundation will provide childcare for families that need it. For families wishing to stay additional nights, you may do so through the website based on room availability using our vacation rate website www.disneyworld.com or by calling our vacation line at 1-407-W-DISNEY to check for available resorts and rates.
