Earlier this month, the TANGO2 Research Foundation hosted leading TANGO2 medical professionals for the TANGO2 Innovation Summit, a collaborative event focused on advancing acute care for individuals with TANGO2 deficiency disorder (TDD). The goal of the summit was to standardize best practices, gain clinical consensus and publish evidence-based acute care clinical guidelines through expert collaboration, in-depth discussion, and rigorous analysis of existing literature.
Participants included leading clinicians, ancillary healthcare professionals and TDD families who brought diverse expertise and a shared commitment to improving outcomes for individuals in critical care settings. By aligning on evidence-based approaches, the group aimed to support widespread adoption of consistent standards of care across clinical settings worldwide.
The importance of this work is underscored by real-world impact. Collaborative efforts within the TANGO2 community have already demonstrated how coordinated clinical expertise can prevent further medical crises and significantly improve patient outcomes. Ensuring that families everywhere have access to this same level and standard of care during critical moments remains a central driver of the summit’s objectives.
The TANGO2 Innovation Summit represents a meaningful step forward in translating research into practice. The insights, collaboration, and innovation emerging from this in-person gathering will help shape future clinical guidance and strengthen care for the global TANGO2 community.
