The novel “The Betrothed” (“I promessi sposi”), by the Italian writer Alessandro Manzoni, was the backdrop for a TANGO2 Research Foundation fundraiser held on November 9, 2019 in Turin, Italy. The show was performed by Varallo’s Company, a local non-profit theater company. The event was organized by Giorgio and Rashmi Pochettino, whose child Edoardo is affected by TANGO2 disease. The event raised $5,500 USD (5.035€) to benefit the TANGO2 Research Foundation (donations and tickets)

There were 400 people in attendance – mainly friends, relatives and colleagues of Giorgio and Rashmi. Prior to the show, Giorgio and Rashmi shared the difficulties and progress of Edoardo and the ongoing activites of the foundation.

Rashmi and Giorgio would like to thank: Varallo’s Company, in particular Marisa Galeandro and Carla Aiassa who proposed the staging of the performance, the many parents who sold many tickets and all the attendees.

The evening was an overwhelming success!!!
